Race Day, July 11, 2021
Transition opens at 6:30 am on race day. The first heat starts at 7:30 am. Heats will start from the youngest age group to the oldest. The Elite Wave is the first heat of the day. Athletes will arrive at the race venue during a pre-asigned window to set up their transition. From there athletes will line up in a designated area, physically distanced, to enter the pool.
Athletes will enter the pool on 30 second intervals. Each swimmer will complete the required number of laps for their age group by swimming up and down on the left side of the lane and crossing under the lane divider after each lap.
Transition spots will be rep-assigned so that athletes from each heat are spread apart. All athletes must be out of transition 15 minutes prior to the start of their heat. Only participants in the 6-7 and 8-9 age groups may have one adult assist with transition set up. No non-participants are allowed in transition during the race. Participants in the 6-7 and 8-9 year old categories may have one adult assist with transition setup but all adults must be out of transition 15 minutes before the start time for that heat.
The awards ceremony will take place online at 6 pm on July 11. Awards will be mailed to recipients.
